From questions about how to ensure the right uninterruptible power supply system (UPS) for your system to how to decide whether you really need power protection units, questions are a flying in this tech space right now.
Fortunately for businesses out there who are trying to figure out just how bad downtime could be for their business, Minuteman UPS/Para Systems (News - Alert) – a leading provider of power protection units – is spreading the word about its units and answering vital questions. And, in just a few days, Minuteman will head to Orlando, Fla., and Las Vegas, Nev., for Enterprise Connect (News - Alert) and ISC West respectively to spread the message a little further.
“Perhaps the most common topic in regards to power protection is a simple one: How do I ensure I’m selecting the right UPS for my system?” Duston Nixon, marketing communications specialist at Minuteman, told TMCnet. “Our first recommendation is our sizing site, SizeMyUPS.com, as the primary resource. We have also recently added a ‘one-click dial’ feature on our website, which will connect users automatically to a product specialist that can provide feedback and suggestions in a zero-pressure situation.”
Next week, Minuteman will head to two trade shows to shed light on these issues. Enterprise Connect and ISC West fall into Minuteman’s key markets – telecommunications and security, according to company officials.
These events provide a “fantastic opportunity” to touch base with current customers and establish relationships with new ones. And while technology has certainly grown leaps and bounds, Nixon said there is still nothing better than the face-to-face contact and hands-on experience with a product that a trade show provides.
“At each of these shows, we will focus primarily on the value our products provide for small to medium sized businesses,” Nixon said. “We feel that each line we manufacture represents a phenomenal combination of features, reliability, and price that cannot be matched. In addition, we will also be focusing heavily on our Instant Rebate program which is currently available on Endeavor and EnterprisePlus products and their respective battery packs.”
According to Nixon, while most companies have experience some sort of power event that has been catastrophic for their business, there is still an awareness that needs to be developed on the part of companies about the importance of power protection.
In fact, several companies can become complacent or adopt the “it won’t happen to me” mentality, but power problems are real and the threat is constant.
So how will Minuteman continue to spread the word about power protection the rest of 2012?
“We have started off 2012 carrying the great momentum we experienced in 2011,” Nixon said. “Our PRO series UPSs have sold at an amazing rate, and we are hard at work on new products to be unveiled as the year goes on. We are extremely optimistic, and ready to share our excitement at ISC West and EnterpriseConnect.”
