Power Protection Company Minuteman Reflects on First Year at ITEXPO

By Carrie Schmelkin, TMCnet Web Editor

For the first time this year, Minuteman UPS/Para Systems joined thousands of company officials at ITEXPO (News - Alert) West 2011, a decision that was well worth it according to company officials.

“This was our first time to attend ITEXPO and, as with any show, the best part was the chance to meet a new group of people within the IT community,” Duston Nixon, marketing communications specialist for power protection provider Minuteman, told TMCnet. “We are always looking for new opportunities to talk with users and find out what they desire from power protection products, and ITEXPO was a welcome addition to our schedule.”

Minuteman, a provider of power protection technologies, exhibited last week at ITEXPO, which took place from Sept. 13-15 in Austin, Texas. The event brought together thousands of people from within the communications and technology communities who gathered with enterprises, SMBs and other end users to build their businesses and gain knowledge for the future.

According to David Leos, Minuteman’s UPS channel manager who manned the Minuteman booth at ITEXPO, the venue at Austin was “enjoyed by all.”

For those who visited the Minuteman booth, Leos told TMCnet, “I hope people took away our commitment to ensuring that their mission critical electronics are in safe and reliable hands with Minuteman. Our warranties and extended warranties are some of the best in the industry.”

Minuteman has continued to make its dent in the power protection industry, evidenced by the fact that the company recently unveiled the Minuteman PRO-LCD series, a new line of uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) designed to safeguard medium-sized telephone, security and server systems from power anomalies.

The PRO-LCD is the next generation of Minuteman’s highly successful PRO Series of UPSs.

According to Nixon, the goal at ITEXPO, as is the goal at any trade show, was to impress upon people the core values of Minuteman.

“For us, that is value, reliability, and exceptional service for small and medium sized businesses,” Nixon said. “Our product line is focused on delivering the features and warranty coverage SMBs are looking for at a price that fits perfectly in the tightening budgets of today’s economy.”

As Minuteman gears up for upcoming trade shows, the company has a few messages it is ready to spread.

“Aside from letting users know about our newest product release, the PRO-LCD, we stress the exceptional value and superior service that Minuteman can provide,” Nixon said. “From the range of features and low prices of our products, to our unmatched three-year warranties which include battery coverage, we feel we are a perfect match for the SMB market.”
