Minuteman UPS/Para Systems (News - Alert) has had a busy 2011, attending many different trade shows, and the power protection company is showing no sign of slowing down.

This week, Minuteman – a leading provider of power protection products – will be attending TIA 2011: Inside the Network in Dallas, an event that brings together the telecommunications and information and communications technology industries to confront the challenges surrounding security, reliability and sustainability of the network.

“The TIA (News - Alert), Telecommunications Industry Association, serves the global information and communications technology industries,” Duston Nixon, marketing communications specialist for Minuteman, told TMCnet in a recent interview. “The organization provides standards development, involvement in government affairs, business opportunities for members, market research and certification, as well as world-wide environmental regulatory compliance. Our continuing focus and history in the telecommunications industry makes this show a perfect opportunity for us.”

The show, which runs from May 17-20, will include speakers from AT&T, Alcatel-Lucent (News - Alert), Verizon and U.S. Congressman Marsha Blackburn as well as workshops about the mobile broadband revolution and the evolution of standalone and hybrid delivery models.

Minuteman will join more than 1,000 attendees at the show, consisting of resellers, integrators and end-users.

“All of these attendees can benefit from learning more about power protection, from both a sales and usage standpoint,” Nixon said. “These shows provide a unique opportunity to give potential customers hands-on experience with products they might not normally see, as well as answer any questions they may have.”

One of the focal points of TIA is embracing developing technology and to demonstrate that, the organization is simultaneously hosting a virtual trade show of which Minuteman will take part.

“This show will provide a graphical interface for attendees, and each exhibitor will have their own custom designed booth complete with interactive videos, documentation that would be found in the real booth, and a unique layout mimicking the company’s real show setup,” Nixon said. “TIA’s forward thinking in this regard truly expands the reach of the show for us, allowing company representatives that might not have had the space in their schedule or budget to travel to Texas to still see and hear about our products,” he added.

Last month, Minuteman had quite a busy April – heading to Orlando, Fla., for Graybar’s (News - Alert) National Training Conference and to Las Vegas, Nevada, for the International Security Conference (ISC) West.

“Both the Graybar National and ISC have become yearly traditions for us,” Nixon told TMCnet at the time. “Graybar’s conference provides us great exposure with the sales people who help users make purchasing decisions – users whom we find typically respond favorably to our products. Our growth over the past two years in the security sector means we seek opportunities to make contacts and educate as many people in the industry as we can about the importance of power protection for security applications.”
