Power Protection For the Holidays: Minuteman Rebates Available
As a thank you for a great year, Minuteman is offering power protection-related instant rebates of up to $60 through the end of Dec. The rebates cover all of the tools companies need to protect their network, telephone and security systems.
Rack-Mount ConfigurationsEnvironment is one of the most important considerations when selecting a uninterruptible power supply (UPS). When a system is within a rack/cabinet, a rack-mounted UPS can be an ideal solution. In the past this meant a forced move to a higher priced unit, but Minuteman’s PRO-RT series offers versatility and protection for less cost.
The PRO-RT is available in two different mod – the 1000VA and the 1500VA. It offers communications for monitoring and management via USB and an optional SNMP card. – both units come with either rack or tower configurations and the available rebates range from $15 to $25.
A Budgetary Protection: Line Interactive UPSs
Uninterruptible power supplies are available in three types: Standby, Line Interactive, and On-line. Line interactive units such as Minuteman’s Entrust (News - Alert) Series offer an excellent compromise between price and features. These units use an automatic voltage regulator to ensure consistent power output and increase battery life, and are perfect for small to midsize systems.
Six different types of Entrust models are available, ranging from 500VA to 1500VA. Rebates range from $7 to $25.
Surge Suppressors for Non-Critical Equipment
Non-critical equipment is often overlooked when a system or peripheral is installed. But they are just as susceptible to power problems.
Minuteman’s MMS Series surge suppressors offer innovative rotating outlets, high joule ratings and up to $200,000 of connected equipment warranty protection.
There are instant rebates available on four of the rotating outlet models, with features ranging from six outlets up to twelve. The rebates range from $2 to $4.
True On-line UPS & Complete Protection
Lastly, on-line UPSs offer some of the best protection and highest output power quality through a double-conversion process. According to Minuteman officials, the pure sine wave output of these models, such as Minuteman’s CPE Series, ensures that power problems will not shorten equipment life or corrupt data.
For around the price of a line interactive unit, Minuteman’s CPE Series provides the fail-safe protection of true on-line architecture. Three models are available; 1000VA, 2000VA, and 3000VA, each in a compact tower format. Rebates range from $20 to $60.
