NewCloud Networks, a nationwide cloud services provider, has introduced a host of business continuity management solutions for small and medium sized enterprises.
These services provide protection of voice and data service, minimizing downtime in the event of a business-affecting disaster.
“Business continuity management is a term referring to the proactive measures businesses take to minimize downtime in the event of catastrophic event; things like natural disasters, emergencies, or other negatively impacting circumstances,” Vu Tran, senior vice president of operations and engineering at NewCloud, said in a statement.
Tran said that business owners are realizing, now more than ever, the importance of data protection.
Officials with NewCloud Networks said that the business continuity management services offered by the company include backup and disaster recovery, virtual desktops and hosted PBX (News - Alert).
NewCloud’s BDR solution is really Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) that provides fully managed, cloud-based rapid recovery, which ensures minimal impact to one’s business when disaster strikes. With NewCloud, data is backed up to a local server appliance, and then again to secure storage in the cloud, as often as every five minutes.
The image-based backups are then available for granular-object-level recovery, or to be restored as complete server images in the cloud for rapid failover in the case of hardware loss.
“Our data center is fully secure and redundant, making it possible for us to ensure the security and availability of our customers’ data in the event of a catastrophe,” said Sam Kumar (News - Alert), founder.
Company officials pointed out that Virtual Desktops provide another layer of business continuity assurance in the event of a disaster. These desktop environments are hosted in the NewCloud data center, rather than living on a physical machine.
Virtual Desktops have the same functionality as a traditional desktop. They provide an automatic business continuity solution for desktops as well as an extra layer of security in companies embracing a BYOD (bring your own device) environment.
According to company officials, Hosted PBX provides one’s business with phones-as-a-service. Instead of high, up-front expenses, NewCloud Network's Hosted PBX offers the same capabilities at an affordable monthly price, allowing one to budget more effectively and take control over what was once a very complicated aspect of business.
