UBM Tech’s Interop (News - Alert) Las Vegas 2013 has released the complete list of selected providers that will power InteropNet, self-described as “the cornerstone of Interop Las Vegas supplying attendees and exhibitors with the most reliable, high-speed network throughout the entire conference center.”
Among the 25 companies listed was Opengear (News - Alert), an esteemed out-of-band (OOB) management solutions provider well-known for its advanced console management, serial console access, network hosts and PDU and UPS management offerings and solutions.
The InteropNet is seen as a “premier example” of how to design, deploy and manage a multi-vendor, converged network. The platform uses best practice methodologies to offer a workable demonstration and reference model of networks, meeting current and future needs. Moreover, the platform introduces new technologies, company officials said.
As Interop has matured and developed, so has the InteropNet, noted Glenn Evans, lead engineer at InteropNet, adding that it’s a practical demonstration of the conference themes and mirrors what the Interop community is thinking about in an open, informative environment.
Joining Opengear included 6connect, Cloudpath Networks, Cormant, cPacket Networks, HP, NetScout, Network Hardware Resale, Pica8, ScienceLogic, Tail-F, TalariaX, Vyatta (News - Alert) and many more.
"The InteropNet is a perfect example of the state of computing today,” commented Julia Lim, vice president of marketing at ScienceLogic (News - Alert), one of the selected vendors in the statement. Lim added that these are all best-in-class technologies that must come together in a very tight timeframe and are expected to work flawlessly by the exhibitors and attendees that rely on them to get business done.
Interop Las Vegas is scheduled to take place in May at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.
