Sangoma Receives ANATEL Certification in Brazil

Sangoma Technologies (News - Alert) has received certification and licensing from the National Agency of Telecommunications (ANATEL), the Brazilian accreditation body for telecommunication products.

A provider of PC-based telephony hardware and software products for proprietary and open source based telephony solutions, Sangoma successfully completed the certification process and its connectivity hardware and software products have been type tested, certified and homologated by ANATEL, meeting all requirements, according to the company.

“As we continue our global expansion, it is important that our products are evaluated against applicable standards,” said David Mandelstam (News - Alert), CEO of Sangoma.

This certification ensures that all Sangoma products made available to the region’s distributors, resellers and consumers fall within national quality and control guidelines.

“We will continue to bring innovation, scalability and higher density solutions to the telecom market and this certification will certainly help to extend our presence in Latin America,” said Mandelstam.

Founded in 1984, Sangoma provides of PC-based hardware and software products for proprietary and open source based telephony solutions. The company develops and manufactures voice and data communication products including the industry-leading series of Advanced Flexible Telecommunications (AFT) PCI cards.

Sangoma’s products also includes hardware that enables telephony applications including legacy PBX, IVR, auto attendant, next generation gateways, media servers and application servers.
