Such examples include using SugarCRM’s standards-based platform to enable strong integration with other software packages such as JasperReports and the Asterisk (News - Alert) call center platform; extending SugarCRM to handle new media including RSS feeds and SMS messaging systems; and increasing CRM capabilities with SugarCRM to integrate with wireless devices across all CRM touch points.

"We are excited to see the high quality of implementations in these finalists, and how they have quickly and effectively customized Sugar to fit their company's needs," stated John Roberts, CEO and co-founder of SugarCRM, in a Tuesday statement. “Each finalist deserves recognition for how they have positively impacted their business with their innovative Sugar implementation."

SugarCRM has been able to drive its success with solutions that are easily adaptable to any business environment. These solutions are positioned as being a more flexible, cost-effective alternative to proprietary applications. Companies can use SugarCRM’s open source architecture to more easily customize and integrate customer-facing business processes to build and maintain more profitable relationships.

The company has focused its strategy on ensuring customers can take a customer-centric approach to business, especially in industries where provisions have become commoditized.

As a result, organizations operating in these spaces must be able to build impenetrable customer relationships to ensure sustainability, but also the promise of growth and greater margins over the long term. Those that are being recognized by the company have learned how best to capitalize on the benefits that SugarCRM brings to the table to protect their greatest asset – their customers.
