Box.net Offers Cloud Content Management to Open Source CRM Users

Cloud Content Management when coupled with a robust CRM solution enhances the ability to share, access and manage content and realizes the full potential of bringing businesses to the cloud.

The announcement was made today at SugarCon, SugarCRM's annual customer and partner event.

SugarCRM users will be able to instantly access and share product datasheets, contracts, demo videos, and other relevant content from Box when logged in to SugarCRM via the brand new Shortcut Bar in version 6.0. In addition, they will also be able to access shared workspaces within SugarCRM to collaborate with key contacts, and contractors outside SugarCRM deployment.

Additionally, Appleton pointed out the advantage to be had by businesses, which could now access and control the content available for their sales associates to share with prospects and customers. This would enable teams to actively collaborate on ongoing projects.

Expressing satisfaction over the joint venture, Clint Oram, SugarCRM Co-founder and Vice President of Products., said that the company was thrilled to be associated with Box net as the open platforms would seamlessly integrate the Cloud Content Management platform with CRM software.
