Open Source CRM Event Co-hosted by BrainSell, Accelerates Social Media Event

Ipswich, Mass.-based BrainSell Technologies will be co-hosting open source CRM provider, SugarCRM’s (News - Alert) Boston Accelerator social media event on March 23, 2010 at the Boston-Woburn Hilton in Woburn, Massachusetts.

A gold SugarCRM business partner, BrainSell provides comprehensive enterprise resource planning, or “ERP,” and CRM solutions and services, including training, implementation and software development.

The event is the start of something great, said Jim Ward, president and CEO at BrainSell. “We all hear about social media outlets; is it a fad or an indispensible business resource?” Ward questioned.

He believes that social media has a place in business, and that one needs the right tools to take advantage. “We want to show people how to harness this hot, new resource to increase sales in a tough economy,” Ward said.

At the event, that speakers are expected to evaluate the usefulness of “hot social media sites” and discuss how exactly these tools can increase business visibility, lead generation and sales.

The keynote is expected to be presented by Dharmesh Shah, chief technology officer and founder of HubSpot and co-author of Inbound Marketing: Get Found Using Google (News - Alert), Social Media, and Blogs. Additionally, BrainSell and SugarCRM are expected to take attendees through a whirlwind session of social media marketing.

“CRM Acceleration Boston is an extraordinary way for companies to understand and implement social media strategies that enhance and extend CRM initiatives,” said Jeff Campbell, vice president of sales at SugarCRM.

Campbell said that attendees will learn not only where Social CRM is headed but what they can do today to drive results for the rest of 2010 and beyond.
