Open Source CRM Easy to Deploy with SugarCRM System

By Kelly McGuire, TMCnet Editor

For companies in the call center or customer relationship management, or “CRM,” system industry, time is always of the essence. Whether it’s a upcoming deadline, a quick meeting or a long list of customer calls a sales agent needs to make, it never seems like there’s enough time to do virtually everything on a daily “to-do” list.

Installing a CRM system should not be another time killer for anyone’s daily business operations. And, according to a recent report, deploying a system with open source CRM provider, SugarCRM (News - Alert), it doesn’t need to be.

As an open source CRM system, the easy deployment process is flexible to adapt to any business environment.

In fact, the system is so incredibly flexible that, unlike other open source systems, SugarCRM’s software doesn’t need a Linux platform to deploy.

Compatible with the Windows platform, the SugarCRM system, built on PHP with the ability to support MySQL as well as Microsoft (News - Alert) SQL Server, the system not only saves on deployment time, but the expense to install is much greater than other competitor systems.

To install the SugarCRM open source system, all a user needs to do is go to the SugarCRM Setup Wizard install screen, check to make sure that all required system components are ready in the computer, fill out the standard username and identification information and extract the appropriate contents.

“SugarCRM lets you localize the settings as per your preferred needs,” Rahul Sah, author of the report, said, adding that these settings are globally reflected on the installed SugarCRM instance.

And, once complete, a Perform Setup page pops up with all the features, functionalities and processes that have been installed.
