Open source CRM software provider SugarCRM (News
) has announced a new vice president of worldwide sales. Assuming the new role is George Wright, who will be responsible for management and expansion of SugarCRM's global sales force.

), CEO of SugarCRM. "His deep experience managing large sales organizations for software leaders is a perfect fit for the ambitions of our expanding company."
Utilizing his over 25 years of sales and management experience in the high-tech sector, Wright will help SugarCRM to meet the increasing demand for its commercial open source CRM solutions as the company continues to grow.
With SugarCRM's open source architecture, companies are able to better build and maintain their customer relationships thanks to customer-facing business processes that can be easily customized and integrated.
Prior to his new role, Wright worked in the CRM field as senior vice president and general manager of World Wide Field Operations for Epiphany, a provider of customer relationship management (CRM) software solutions. In this role, he oversaw day-to-day operations of sales, renewals, professional services and education. Wright was also noted for having helped grow the company's revenue from zero to $230 million in three years.
In his prior experience, Wright also served as senior vice president and general manager at SAP America and according to the company is also a veteran of both Oracle (News
) Corporation and Netscape Communications Corporation.
