Intelestream's VP Discusses Importance of CRM

By Anuradha Shukla, TMCnet Contributor

Intelestream, the CRM consulting and product development specialist and developer of the intelecrm online CRM solution, has posted a transcript of a candid one-on-one interview online about CRM and its significance, featuring the company’s Vice President of Professional Services, Ray Stoeckicht.

In the interview, Stoeckicht answers questions concerning CRM and its importance to small businesses, and expounds frankly on his honest perspective regarding the subject of social CRM. Stoeckicht mentions his opinion that as social CRM is practiced nowadays, there is a considerable amount of hype surrounding social CRM and its uses. As it is used now, Stoeckicht says, there is not a great deal of room left to allow for practical application.

As a consequence, in his opinion, Stoeckicht fails to see a considerable amount of value for social CRM in the sales cycle nowadays. He refers to himself as a skeptic in this regard. Stoeckicht brings up the example of one of Intelestream’s (News - Alert) clients who, in the course of a conversation with him, mentioned that social networking was indeed significant, but whose sales representatives were more interested in closing sales leads and doing business instead of building communities via social networking platforms. Stoeckicht said that he respected her candor and honesty for having said so.

A transcript of this candid one-on-one interview with Ray Stoeckicht may be accessed at Intelestream’s website, at http://www.intelestream.net/lp/lp-Qray1.html
