BroadLight, a fabless semiconductor company that supplies intelligent network processors, has hired some new personnel. Abbie Kwan has stepped up to become vice president of regional sales for APAC and Wade Giles has answered the call to become vice president of regional sales for Americas.
Kwan and Giles are expected to join Israel Ferber, vice president of regional sales for EMEA, in managing BroadLight's growing amount of fiber access sales opportunities.
"We are extremely pleased to hire professionals with the strong credentials and management experience that both Abbie and Wade bring to BroadLight," said Raanan Gewirtzman, CEO at BroadLight.
Gewirtzman said that considering the current ramp of GPON deployments and "our clear market lead with end-to-end GPON solutions," there is enormous potential for the newly expanded sales team to lead us into BroadLight's next phase of high growth.
BroadLight said that it plans to continue strengthening its sales team in order to meet sales and partnership opportunities across all global markets.
BroadLight supplies intelligent network processors to equipment vendors to be used in fiber access applications around the globe. Its technology spans from making a difference in the central office to the customer premises field, enabling the delivery of emerging services through highly integrated, low-cost solutions.
Last month, BroadLight introduced the BL2341 GPON SFU/SFP processor, a member of its widely deployed GPON processor family.
