ONPATH Technologies, a provider of scalable connectivity and monitoring solutions for high-performance networks, has released HorizON 2.2, the latest version of its management and network monitoring software, to offer network intelligence, user simplicity and system security.
HorizON is a management software that provides intelligent, high-performance connectivity and monitoring and offers simple point-and-click provisioning and secure remote control of any Universal Connectivity System (UCS) network.
It is a Linux-based server software solution that is capable of securely managing up to 128 different switches and over 100,000 meshed ports in a single app.
The ONPATH HorizON software, along with the UCS 2900 and 3900 platforms, solves connectivity and monitoring challenges for a variety of high-performance applications such as cloud networking, network monitoring, test automation and cyber security. The new version comes packed with authentication, authorization, and accounting capabilities that offer secure remote access and role-based control and auditing, allowing easy interoperation with other corporate management systems such as TACACS+ and RADIUS.
Some of the features and benefits of HorizON software are: intelligent connection manager to build, store, schedule and execute changes; simple point-and-click provisioning for fast, guaranteed connectivity; secure, role-based access control with authentication, authorization, and accounting; local and remote management of up to 128 concurrent switches and over 100,000 ports; redundant external or embedded architecture for reliability and scalability; CLI scripting and GUI access for port, group, and domain configuration and automation; and more.
The External Red Hat (News - Alert) Linux Server integrated in the HorizON 2.2 can be used to securely manage multiple systems from a control system including a redundant server option for enhanced availability.
"The customer response to last year's release of our HorizON software has been fantastic," said Larry Cantwell, CTO of ONPATH. "Further developing the security and application flexibility advantages was a clear priority to expand our cyber security and network monitoring applications. Our industry-exclusive mixed platform and expanded protocol support positions us as the dominant leader for test automation and cloud networking solutions with a single interface."
