Apparent Networks, a provider of remote performance management solutions (RPM), announced the launch of new technology integration with N-able Technologies. N-able, specializing in remote monitoring and management (RMM) software will join with Apparent to offer an integrated technology that will provide managed service providers and IT departments with more capabilities and a unique network monitoring solution. This will include remote site performance information from a single view.
The N-central platform with complementary toolsets from N-able help reduce IT support costs, improve network performance and increase productivity by the proactive network monitoring, management and optimization of IP-enabled devices and IT infrastructure.
The collaboration between Apparent Networks’ (News - Alert) PathView Cloud and N-able’s N-central 7.2 will ensure an optimum integration of secure cloud services with premise-based IT management systems. Also, the two technologies will be able to offer a centralized viewpoint with real-time remote network performance monitoring, as well as application and infrastructure monitoring.
The availability of PathView Cloud’s zero-administration microAppliance technology will help network engineers gain visibility into virtual systems in the cloud besides also receiving end-to-end view of performance-sensitive applications, such as VoIP, video conferencing, virtualization, IP storage and backup.
In a press release, Jim Melvin, CEO of Apparent Networks, said, “We are bringing network engineers a breakthrough solution that gives them visibility into the performance of critical servers and hardware, integrated with an understanding of the voice and data performance of these systems. This is an innovative approach to remotely managing and monitoring the entire network with single a viewpoint.”
“The N-able and Apparent Networks integration provides IT outsourcers with specialized visibility into both network and application performance that is not found in other management solutions. This supports our partners in expanding their managed services, increasing revenue potential and customer satisfaction," Derik Belair, vice president of Marketing and Business Development, also commented.
Apparent Networks’ PathView remote performance management solutions help enterprise IT organizations and IT outsourcers by providing end-to-end visibility into network traffic, distributed applications and cloud-based services. The company’s solutions offer a cost-effective remote monitoring system that can diagnose underlying network problems, assess network readiness and monitor performance.
In other news, N-able Technologies, announced the integration of N-central 7.0 with IBM (News - Alert) Lotus Foundations in September 2010, as reported in TMCnet.
