Lancope, Inc., a provider of flow-based security and network monitoring solutions, is currently attending Cisco (News - Alert) Live London to showcase how its NetFlow system can enhance network and security operations, as well as to exhibit the newest applications for NetFlow analysis.
Integrated into several Cisco routers and switches and other attuned devices, the core technology of NetFlow automatically and continuously records all conversations and data that goes through a NetFlow-enabled router or switch. Increased network visibility, enhanced security positioning and better network performance are achieved when NetFlow is leveraged with analysis systems such as Lancope’s StealthWatch.
Stealthwatch, a unified platform for flow-based security and network monitoring across both physical and virtual networks, will also be displayed at Cisco Live London, which kicked off Jan. 31. By harnessing the strength of NetFlow and other flow data from routers and switches, network visibility and insight is provided, thus decreasing the time between when the issue occurs and when it is finally solved.
Both smaller enterprises and large corporate networks, including security, networking, IT, compliance, human resources and senior management, can utilize StealthWatch to significantly streamline processes, reduce downtime and greatly decrease costs.
"Despite its high value and widespread support within modern network infrastructure, many organizations fail to take full advantage of NetFlow," said Adam Powers, CTO at Lancope. "Rumors of NetFlow's complexity and high impact on network equipment are no longer relevant, and Lancope continues to dispel these myths through hundreds of successful deployments throughout the world's largest enterprises. Improvements by network infrastructure providers such as Cisco Systems (News - Alert) have made today's NetFlow technology easier and more effective than ever before. Organizations that ignore the benefits of network flow data are missing out on an integral IT resource."
"All of the information required to achieve a high-performance, secure environment is readily available within network flows," said Powers. "The key is knowing how to access and apply the flow data to bring maximum value to the enterprise."
The strengths and benefits of NetFlow, as well as a guide on how to efficiently deploy the solution in the enterprise, is outlined in a white paper. NetFlow and its solutions can be found at booth E4 at Cisco Live London.
