SpydrSafe Launches Beta of SpydrSafe Mobile DLP

By Meenakshi Shankar, TMCnet Contributor

Protecting corporate information on mobile devices presents enormous challenges for enterprise IT departments. SpydrSafe Mobile Security, a company specializing in mobile data loss prevention (DLP), launched the Beta version of its first mobile security platform aimed at protecting corporate data on smart mobile devices.

The advanced mobile DLP solution, SpydrSafe Mobile DLP, safeguards against data loss with innovative technology that delivers app-level protection on Android (News - Alert) smartphones and tablets.

“The risk of data breaches is no longer solely an external threat as more employees use their own personal devices in the workplace (BYOD).” said Michael R. Pratt, CEO of SpydrSafe Mobile Security. “SpydrSafe Mobile DLP addresses the issues created by BYOD by providing enterprise IT the tools necessary to safeguard data that is accessed and used by mobile apps.”

SpydrSafe Mobile DLP is an advanced mobile data loss prevention solution comprising of SpydrSafe Mobile DLP for Android and SpydrSafe Security Manager. The SpydrSafe Mobile DLP for Android app is available on either Google (News - Alert) Play or Amazon Appstore for Android.

SpydrSafe Security Manager is a SaaS (Security-as-a-Service), cloud-based security management console used by IT administrators to add and enroll new users, assign users to groups, assign policies and access audit and reporting information.

Founded in 2011 by two seasoned mobile security professionals, SpydrSafe Mobile Security has designed a mobile security platform that prevents corporate data breaches from intentional or inadvertent misuse of mobile applications on tablets and smartphones. SpydrSafe Mobile DLP provides IT departments with a mobile data loss prevention solution that addresses security issues created by BYOD (bring your own device).
