Singapore-based mobile VoIP provider REVE Systems now offers an Unblock expert - the iTel Byte Saver, with which “VoIP service providers can assure their customers of uninterrupted VoIP calling,” company officials say.

It comes with such features as HTTP tunneling for iTel Mobile Dialer. “So if end users are behind any firewall, still they can make call with iTel Mobile Dialer if the service provider has iTel Byte Saver,” company officials explain, adding that it establishes an HTTP tunnelling between it and iTel Mobile Dialer to pass through any firewall.

REVE officials also say the iTel Byte Saver reduces bandwidth usage by more than 50 percent at the originating end by using iTel Byte Saving Technology: “This helps end users make smooth calls, even if GPRS service providers supply less bandwidth. And this less bandwidth consumption also helps end users to cut their GPRS bills by a significant amount.

In addition, the mobile VoIP provider offers the iTel Pin Protector, offering security from Pin hacking. Basically it only allows calls to originate from those handsets that you’ve approved, restricting the usage of the account only from that wireless device whose IMEI number has been registered and approved by you.

Which means that even if someone else tries to use the same account to make calls, from a different phone handset, the calls do not go through. This, of course, results in just that much more peace of mind.
