Sprint Launches Updated Sprint Biz 360 Portfolio for Small Business

Sprint (News - Alert) has launched a new group of Sprint Biz 360 solutions for small businesses that includes cutting-edge smart phones, useful applications and 3G/4G embedded devices.


According to a press release, the updated portfolios of Sprint Biz 360 include several new devices for small business offering mobile payment capabilities, mobile controls for fleet service drivers, embedded devices. Square Card Reader allows small businesses to get paid virtually anywhere by simply plugging the Square Card Reader into an iPhone (News - Alert) or Android device to accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express credit cards on the go.

With FleetSafer Mobile, employees who are driving on the job can automatically use smartphones and tablet devices in safe, legal and hands-free way. A Web portal tied to the application allows a business to define and enforce custom safety policies and acquire information about driving habits. The service is priced at $5.99 per month plus a one-time setup fee per device.

3G & 4G tablets and notebooks in Sprint Biz 360 embedded portfolio include, the ultraportable 11.6-inch HD Lenovo (News - Alert) IdeaPad with a full-size keyboard, multitasking capabilities and plenty of computing power and the ZTE Optik, which combines 3G mobility and Wi-Fi speed to deliver connectivity. The HTC (News - Alert) EVO 4G LTE handset is the newest addition to the EVO family, a device that small businesses can use to boost productivity.

Sierra Wireless 4G LTE (News - Alert) Tri-Fi Hotspot is the first LTE mobile broadband device from Sprint. The device provides WiMax and 3G capabilities also, and allows small businesses to cost-effectively share one connection using Wi-Fi enabled devices.

“Cutting through the complications of buying communications gear is a challenge for small businesses,” said Jaime Jones, senior vice president-Consumer Sales. “Sprint stepped up with Sprint Biz 360 last summer to make it easier. Demand continues to be strong for individual Sprint Biz 360 features and full-on bundles, so we’re refreshing the portfolio with new offers and services to continue to make it appealing.”
