eircom Group (eircom), the principal provider of fixed line and mobile telecommunications services in Ireland, has licensed Ventyx's enterprise business intelligence (BI) solution FocalPoint (News - Alert) in a deal worth more than $1 million.

Thanks to Ventyx FocalPoint, eircom will now be able to more closely monitor and measure its performance against critical business metrics and key performance indicators (KPI).

"eircom is committed to strengthening the management of its business through the utilization of key corporate metrics," said Una Stafford, director of fixed access operations for eircom.

"Ventyx FocalPoint will provide us with visibility into more than 100 KPIs enterprise-wide, and help power insights into all aspects of our organizational performance,” added Stafford. “At the same time, it will extend the value of our existing Ventyx Service Suite investment."

FocalPoint is an advanced BI software suite that collects, analyzes and reports critical information to support strategic and operational decision-making.

The software also provides extensive prepackaged content for work, asset and outage management, and leverages integration with Ventyx Service Suite to help communications providers optimize their response to service outages to ensure customers are restored as quickly as possible.
