Options, a private financial cloud provider for the global capital markets space, has enhanced its PIPE platform by deploying the MobileIron platform. With this deployment, Options can now provide its clients with a complete mobile device management solution, facilitating the adoption of smartphones and tablets, particularly with the freedom offered by BYOD initiatives.
Despite the fierce competition present in the mobile device management space, MobileIron’s more established, robust offering was found to be the best choice for use in the Options Private Financial Cloud. Indeed, MobileIron’s multi-OS platform is capable of supporting a variety of corporate and personal devices, as well as those devices’ operating systems. Best of all, the platform can provide complete security and management while preserving the user’s mobile experience.
This level of support and flexibility has helped MobileIron pull ahead of the competition time and again. For example, last month the company was chosen by Bradford Networks to create a fully integrated network access control and mobile device management solution. According to Bradford Networks (News - Alert) CMO Tom Murphy, MobileIron’s expertise and experience makes it an “integral component to a successful BYOD program.”
Options CTO John Bryant also expressed enthusiasm toward the MobileIron platform:
“The use of mobile devices to access corporate systems and information is a work practice that we have seen grow exponentially within the financial services industry in recent years,” he said in a statement. “This considerable change in working practice has driven the demand for a solution that tackles the very unique set of challenges the use of these devices poses for a modern enterprise. As a consequence, we’re delighted to announce the deployment of MobileIron to the Options PIPE platform.”
MobileIron will be deployed as a part of Options’ PIPE Core services, which is a key component of the Private Financial Cloud platform. This complete business technology infrastructure service offers a robust and resilient technology foundation for business communication, regulatory compliance and operations management.
