AccessData Announces Updated Mobile Phone Examiner Plus for iOS7

By Oliver VanDervoort, Contributing Writer

AccessData Group is known as one of the world’s leading providers of solutions that include digital forensics, cyber security and e-discovery software. The company announced that it is going to be releasing a brand new Mobile Phone (News - Alert) Examiner Plus (MPE+) software upgrade. The release has been timed so that those who are using iOS 7 will be able to access this particular application. The application release timing has been geared to coincide with iOS 7’s release and because of that it has full iOS7 support.

AccessData’s newest MPE+ will have a couple of new features to go along with the improved Apple (News - Alert) support. The application will not require iTunes for extractions and will have a much-improved processing capability. The application will now also be able to get data extractions and access options without making users enter their iTunes password.

Lee Reiber, VP of Mobile Forensic Solutions for AccessData, commented on the upgraded application in a recent statement. “We are ready; MPE+ will support the new iOS before it is even in the customers’ hands. MPE+ will not only allow investigators to process iOS 7 devices immediately after the iOS 7 release but will also significantly extract more logical data from these devices than any other solution on the market.”

The upgraded application will also bring a brand new iLogical enhanced iDevice support for iOS devices. This application will help users communicate with a number of different iDevices even if they aren’t at the top of the market. The application will be able to get a significant amount of data out of the iDevice even if is from an earlier version of something as old as the first iPod. This particular application will even be able to pull data from an iTunes account that has the backup encryption, but the backup password is unknown.
