Enterprise Mobile, a business unit of Intermec (News - Alert) Technologies Corporation, recently announced that MobileIron, a company involved in security and management for apps, documents, has received its 2012 Partner of the Year award for third year in a row.
Enterprise Mobile specializes in delivering the widest range of comprehensive mobility services — from strategic planning and deployment through support and mobile device inventory management. The practices and tools employed by company are tailored to the capabilities and requirements of the major mobility platforms, including RIM (BlackBerry), iPhone, Windows Mobile, Android (News - Alert) and webOS.
"Enterprise Mobile continues to provide expert service in helping companies implement and support our mobile device management and security solution," said Stephan Keller, Sr. Director, Americas Channels at MobileIron, in a statement. "Since becoming a MobileIron partner in 2009, Enterprise Mobile has assisted hundreds of companies in the evaluation, procurement, implementation, and administration of the MobileIron MDM solution."
MobileIron has been selected by insurance specialists Hamilton Fraser as the mobile IT platform for the business. According to a release, with the initial deployment complete, Hamilton Fraser is entering the next phase of its mobile IT strategy and delivering mobile apps and content to employees using Docs@Work, AppConnect, and AppTunnel.
"Our customers have a number of decisions to make when developing a mobile strategy, including device selection, application and content management, and telecom expense tracking," said Bill Pratt, General Manager at Enterprise Mobile, in a statement. "MobileIron offers best-in-class solutions that address a number of these requirements."
Hamilton Fraser provides dedicated insurance services to customers throughout the UK and abroad. The company wanted to enable its employees to use mobile apps in the workplace at the same time as it deployed a mix of corporate iOS and BYOD devices. After evaluating products from Meraki, AirWatch (News - Alert), and Good Technology, Hamilton Fraser selected MobileIron because the platform was the easiest to deploy and manage, and it was also the most scalable solution.
