Mobile Device Management Provider Plans to Host Mobile Enterprise Apps Webinar

By Jamie Epstein, TMCnet Web Editor

Companies must always remember one thing—if they don’t evolve to meet newly emerged consumer demands, it is likely they won’t stay in business for the long term. That said, most organizations these days are hard at work designing a mobile apps program that will enable their mobile workforce to remain productive from nearly anywhere and at anytime.

When up and running in conjunction with a robust mobile device management plan, users can rest assured they’re fully protected from cyber attacks or in the event their device of choice is lost or stolen.

Slated to take place on February 7, 2013 at 8:00 a.m. PST/11:00 a.m. EST, MobileIron will be sponsoring a not-to-miss webinar titled, “Lessons Learned from the First Generation of Mobile Enterprise Apps,” highlighting various challenges that have arisen within the mobile app development vertical within the last two years as well as way to overcome them with ease.

Topics to be covered include back-end infrastructure demands, types of current platforms available, specific policies and mandates and developer sourcing.

The California-based mobile device management provider, according to its website, touts itself as “giving IT the confidence that sensitive data will not be lost, while enabling the business to mobilize its workflow and end users to do their jobs more effectively. MobileIron’s customers are transforming their organizations through mobility. From day one, MobileIron’s focus has been 100 percent customer success through innovation leadership, customer support, and best practice development.”

Founded back in 2007 with the prediction that mobility would soon transform every business process in enterprise (boy that forecast couldn’t have more on the money), the company has since become a global leader in mobile IT solutions for improved security and management. It caters to several industries including healthcare, education, financial services, government, retail and hospitality and technology with one goal remaining the same: reducing the cost, risk and other associated obstacles that come when enterprises become fully mobile.

In fact, just last week MobileIron was nominated for GSMA's (News - Alert) 2013 Annual Global Mobile Awards in the Best Enterprise Mobile Service category for MobileIron Version 5 Complete Enterprise. One of the primary factors leading to this prestigious recognition was due to the MobileIron V5 offering being looked upon as the “first complete enterprise persona for managing and securing mobile apps and content,” company officials said.
