Patriot (News - Alert) Technologies now offers an integrated mobile security and mobile device management solutions to help organizations deal with the growing concerns over security in bring your own device (BYOD) environment.
According to a recent TMCnet piece, 81 percent of mobile device users access work-related information and processes with their mobile device, making mobile security an important component in any corporate IT strategy.
Despite this, nearly 10 percent of companies report that they are unaware of all the mobile devices that have access to the corporate network, according to this Seacoast Online report. As a result, there is an increased risk to security of corporate data.
The integrated solution from Patriot Technologies addresses various components of mobile device security management including the security state of the mobile device, the applications and data resident on the device, the identity and privileges of the device user, the location of the device, and the networks to which the device connects.
The mobile device management solution is comprised of integrated technologies from company partners including AirPatrol, ForeScout, HID Global, MaaS360 by Fiberlink, McAfee (News - Alert) and Veracode.
With this solution, the company delivers a holistic mobile device management platform that helps organizations mitigate mobile risks and comply with the regulations applicable to various government and commercial sectors.
The new integrated mobile security solution depicts a new device entering a facility and the subsequent actions that enable security controls, according to company officials.
In an effort to further improve the visibility of its mobile security management and mobile device management solutions, Patriot Technologies said it is demonstrating the new integrated mobile security solution at the RSA (News - Alert) Conference at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco, Calif. taking place from February 25-28, 2013.
