KoolSpan Partners with intiGrow

By Raju Shanbhag, TMCnet Contributor

KoolSpan (News - Alert) has announced that the company has partnered with intiGrow to offer complete secure wireless solutions to users all over the world. According to the agreement, intiGrow will resell and integrate KoolSpan’s TrustChip and software solutions.

KoolSpan’s TrustChip is a fully hardened, self-contained security engine. KoolSpan’s high-performance mobile device security solution remains insulated from threats that can reside in mobile devices and other platforms as it is installed in its own optimized hardware environment.

TrustChip is created based on an industry standard microSD form factor. The TrustChip makes use of current interface support for microSD built into various every day devices that consist of smartphones. To offer hardware-anchor to TrustChip-aware applications, TrustChip offers on-chip key management, authentication and encryption key generation. It only needs power from the host device.

Along with a mobile device management (MDM) and access management technology, initiGrow’s three-pronged security solution now consists of KoolSpan’s TrustSuite of products. While maintaining convenience and authentication, together, these solutions will provide security with the help of layered protection where currently little security exists.

“Increases in unwanted surveillance and cyber hacking combined with work and social demands are influencing employees to bring their own devices. This creates a huge, unrecognized vulnerability for companies all over the world,” said Francis Knott, SVP at KoolSpan. “Partnering with IT security systems integrator intiGrow allows us to put our solution in the hands of global enterprises and be a part of an overall security solution that finally solves the mobile security issue without altering the end user experience.”

Recently, the company released the Android (News - Alert) edition of its safe, encrypted Short Message Service (SMS) transmissions solution, TrustText.
