Oracle Validated Integration Given to Xavor's PLM FlexApprove

By Carolyn J Dawson, TMCnet Contributor

Xavor Corporation recently announced that it has received Oracle (News - Alert) Validated Integration of its FlexApprove version 1.3 with Oracle’s Agile Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) version 9.3. Xavor’s PLM FlexApprove with its Oracle Validated Integration or OVI tag (News - Alert) will now allow engineers to use their smartphones for managing their change order and requests. Users with iPhone, Android, Blackberry or iPad can directly assess changes, comment, and analyze redlines through their devices.

Xavor is a Gold-level member of Oracle PartnerNetwork. All Oracle partners have to fulfill a complex set of requirements to attain Oracle Validated Integration. For the first time, an application in the Flex Series of apps, FlexApprove, is capable of supporting Oracle’s Agile (News - Alert) PLM and the rising use of mobile devices in enterprise environments.

In a release, Hassan Ramay, vice president, Technology at Xavor said, “With the need to optimize product development and speed time to market, we listened when we heard our customers say they needed to be able to respond to change requests as quickly as possible. The FlexApprove mobility solution pushes key information to those who need to take action, anytime, anywhere.”

The easy to install, FlexApprove has a tiered architecture which safely adapts to an enterprise’s architecture. Due to the Agile Software Development Kit, the features of FlexApprove do not disturb the system, ensuring considerable decline of the delays in cycle time. Xavor will also offer a support contract along with the application, which states that organizations will be provided upcoming releases of latest features and compatibility with Agile.

The release quoted John Kelley, vice president, PLM Product Strategy at Oracle, who said, “What the PLM Flex team at Xavor has done in leveraging the standard interfaces is what we envisioned for our partners, to augment the product with value-added solutions that serve the Agile community in a highly targeted way. Achieving Oracle Validated Integration through Oracle PartnerNetwork gives our customers confidence that the integration between Flex Approve v1.3 and Oracle’s Agile Product Lifecycle Management version 9.3 has been validated, which helps reduce risk and improves the implementation cycles for our joint customers.”
