Mobile Device Management Provider Saw Great Success Last Year

Recognized as a leader in the mobile device management industry, most wouldn’t be phased to learn that MobileIron recorded astounding customer growth and financial achievements in 2011. In fact, the company increased its customer base by a staggering 600 percent year over year including adding 435 new enterprise customers in the last quarter alone, currently boasts over 100 of the Fortune 500 and Global 250 companies as customers and added over 130 new employees, doubling its size.


As companies are continuing to realize that they need an efficient mobile device management strategy in place, MobileIron is right there to assist customers in keeping their important data and information safe at all times. According to a recent IDC report, approximately 80 million new smartphones and tablets started being utilized within enterprise environments in 2011 and the research company is predicting that this number could grow to 140 million by 2013.

Additionally, the mobile device management now has customers in over 30 countries and has formed strategic partnerships with major mobile operators such as AT&T, SingTel, SoftBank BB and Swisscom (News - Alert), and over 150 Mobile IT VARs around the world

2011 also brought to light many prestigious recognitions for MobileIron including: being positioned in the Leaders quadrant of Gartner, Inc.'s Magic Quadrant for Mobile Device Management Software 2011; selected as an Innovator by Forrester (News - Alert) in the Market Overview: On-Premises Mobile Device Management Solutions, Q3 2011; and taking home the Global Telecoms Business Innovation award with partner AT&T (News - Alert).

Moreover, last year the company also introduced the MobileIron AppConnect strategy, launched the MobileIron Connected Cloud, and unveiled MobileIron University.
