Mobile Device Management Provider MobileIron Reveals Plans to Exhibit and Present at Oracle Open World

By Jamie Epstein, TMCnet Web Editor

MobileIron, a provider of mobile device management solutions has just announced that the company will be at this year’s Oracle (News - Alert) Open World to exhibit, demonstrate and speak. This year’s not-to-miss event is taking place from October 3-6, 2011 in San Francisco, California.

As the company offers multiple innovative options for the enterprise within management and security, MobileIron has vast expertise that it will be sharing in the two presentations: the ‘Secure Mobile Device Management’ session that is slated to take place on Tuesday, October 4 at 10:30 a.m. PDT at the Oracle Scene and Be Heard Theatre in Moscone West, Booth # 3829, and ‘Navigating the Mobile Application Storm’ scheduled to take place on the same day at 2:00 p.m. PDT, a press release detailed.

In related news, last month TMCnet reported that research firm Gartner released a study that analyzed mobile device management solutions from 13 different providers. The results clearly showed that Zenprise, Mobile Active Defense (News - Alert) and MobileIron scored highest overall, with Good Technology ranked as the “best single email-centric solution for secure enterprise mobile email.”

The article claimed that Gartner (News - Alert) fist looked at over 60 vendors within the mobile device management industry and then looked in-depth at different client-side and server-based solutions for both on-premises and cloud delivery models.

The authors of the survey said in a statement, "While most mature products (such as those from Good Technology, Sybase and MobileIron) are on-premises, a growing range of cloud services offerings (such as those from AirWatch (News - Alert), Fiberlink and Tangoe) are starting to appeal to users because they are more economical."
