Vyatta Makes Emaginers the First Master Agent in Japan

Officials at Vyatta (News - Alert) say there is growing interest in its open networking solutions in Asia.
The company delivers a software-based, open-source, network operating system that is portable to standard x86 hardware as well as common virtualization and cloud computing platform.
To rake in this opportunity, Vyatta announced it has signed a reseller agreement with Japanese systems integrator Entertainment Imaginers (“Emaginers.”)
With this agreement, Emaginers becomes the first authorized Vyatta master agent in Japan and is supporting the newly formed Vyatta Japan User Group.
“Vyatta open source routing and security software has become a global phenomenon with over a quarter of a million community members worldwide,” Tom McCafferty, vice president of marketing for Vyatta, said.
“Our partnership with Emaginers and the significant growth of a Vyatta user community in Japan follow the recent announcement of our partnership with NEC (News - Alert) and represent a significant concentration of interest in Vyatta in the region,” McCafferty added.
In June Vyatta entered into an agreement with NEC Networks and System Integration Corporation's consolidated network services to offer Vyatta’s virtual routing and security software to that company, TMCnet reported.
According to McCafferty, these developments in the region will unlock huge opportunities for both new business partners and the customers they serve.
Emaginers delivers solutions for cloud computing, network virtualization and CDN/ADN using Vyatta products to enable businesses of all sizes to reduce capital investment and operating expenses, improve agility, ensure business continuity, strengthen security, and introduce green IT.
Through this master agent partnership, Emaginers is driving the adoption of cloud computing, network virtualization and CDN/ADN throughout Japan and the rest of Asia, according to Takako Fukazawa, marketing director at Emaginers.
“We look forward to working closely with Vyatta to develop and share best practices and case studies as we provide our customers with the ability to consolidate their infrastructures, eliminate unnecessary hardware, and slash their networking costs using Vyatta,” Fukazawa said.
