The digital security threats and costly breaches have been increasing lately. This has resulted in public and private organizations losing the trust of their customers, which translates to direct financial losses and damage to their brand. To capitalize on that growing concern in the market, Blue Ridge Networks and Venture Group Enterprises (VGE) have collaborated to deliver the AppGuard Business solution to a wider audience of small, medium and even larger enterprises.

Security threats will remain constant as 2015 ends. The 2016 Business Continuity Institute (BCI) Horizon Scan Report reinforced that very point, when it concluded cyber-attacks were the biggest concern to organizations. It is also important to understand digital security risks cannot be eliminated, this according to the 2015 Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) report. However, the report did say it can be managed.

The AppGuard Business solution from Blue Ridge Networks, provider of cybersecurity services and systems, has been designed to prevent exploits of critical vulnerabilities with comprehensive protection from new viruses, zero-day malware, ransomware, phishing attacks, targeted attacks, watering hole attacks, drive-by-downloads, weaponized documents and other undetectable advanced and emerging threats. AppGuard protects all versions of Windows for use on PCs, laptops, and tablets for organizations large and small.

The next-generation technology Blue Ridge uses delivers endpoint protection by integrating its patented isolation, containment, anti-execute, application control and other advanced protection techniques seamlessly to the IT of its customers.

A centrally-managed console gives administrators greater control so they can scrutinize anyone that is trying to access the organization’s network. Administrators can also manage policy update with an audit trail that pushes the very same updates directly to endpoints to ensure the entire platform has the latest security protocols.

The control extends to being able to establish different endpoint trust groups with diverse security policies. With these policies in place, information on who is login in can be collected in real-time.

The managed services of this platform doesn’t require on premises equipment, which makes it the ideal platform for today’s remote and collaborative workforce.

The role of VGE in this partnership will be to bring its extensive distribution expertise from the telecommunications agent and the carrier community, and make AppGuard Business available to all of its partners.

“The recent success of ransomware attacks has motivated criminal groups to intensify their attacks targeted to small and midsize businesses,” said Mike Fumai, President and COO of Blue Ridge.  “We are committed to delivering effective and affordable cybersecurity solutions that protect our customers against harmful hacks potentially catastrophic to their business.”
