No matter how much you promote yourself or your company via social media, press releases or stories, it always has so much more impact when the kudos come from other quarters. That’s why some recent news has been very sweet indeed for one telecom service company.

Telarus (News - Alert) is a distributor of voice, data, and cloud services whose sole focus is creating unique value for its partners. Back in 2003, the company wrote and patented the world's first real-time commercial telecom pricing software, GeoQuote. Today, thousands of IT VARs, MSPs, Integrators, and Telecom Professionals use Telarus to easily source data, voice, and cloud services. 

So it’s no real surprise that Telarus was recently included in the prestigious CRN 2014 Network Connectivity Services Partner Program Guide (PPG), which highlights the service providers and technology vendors whose offerings provide the underpinnings of today's mission-critical network connectivity solutions.

“Deep partnerships between IT Solution providers and the telecom industry’s master agents and voice and Internet service providers (ISPs) are becoming the norm as customers demand a single services and support relationship for their voice, data and Internet needs,” CRN noted in a release.

The annual Network Connectivity Services PPG has become a critical resource that allows solution providers to locate vendors offering complementary connectivity solutions and services. All of the vendors featured in the guide have partner programs that embrace the IT channel.

"This award is huge recognition for our company," said David Bashford, president of Telarus. "We work very hard to make telecommunication carrier sales easy for equipment and IP networking VARs through our proprietary real-time quote technology and in-house CRM TOOL. Allowing our VAR partners instant access to complex carrier pricing information has allowed them to succeed in an area of business that instantly adds to their bottom lines."

Telarus also won the award back in 2008, and this year’s honor demonstrates its commitment to helping the VAR channel participate in the telecom and managed services space. Telarus CEO Adam Edwards has been named a CRN Channel Chief in each of the past two years, the company noted, one of an elite list of the most influential and powerful leaders in the IT channel.
