Playing a critical role in the telecom industry, master agents offer and sell telecommunication services for service carriers. They have many responsibilities in the sales process including managing partners, or subagents, who sell a specific carrier’s products, back-office support, experienced consultation and product training. Working mostly behind the scenes, it would appear that these critical players are finally starting to get their due recognition.


To that end, NaviSite, Inc., a Time Warner (News - Alert) Cable Company and premier provider of enterprise-class hosting, managed applications, managed messaging and managed cloud services, has announced the addition of 11 new Master Agents to its growing partner roster: ChaseTek, CNSG, Connectivity Source (News - Alert), Glacier Communications, One Connect, Subsidium, Synnex, Telarus (News - Alert), Teledomani-MPG, Telegration, and VGE.

“As NaviSite’s (News - Alert) channel community continues to expand, Master Agents play a critical role in helping to scale to serve our growing number of business partners and extend our reach to more customers across various industries,” said Craig Sandman, senior director of NaviSite’s channel program, in a statement. “Master Agents help drive deeper engagement and enhance relationships across NaviSite’s channel footprint.”

According to the company, these Master Agent relationships help facilitate and manage relations between NaviSite and its agent community, the companies that promote and sell NaviSite’s services and solutions to end users.

“Master Agents oversee the administrative and financial transactions to ensure the sales process runs smoothly,” the company noted. “NaviSite’s channel and sales teams work with Master Agents to support their events, train their teams and partners, provide sales and marketing tools and resources, and close business together. The Master Agent relationship model allows NaviSite to accelerate its traction in the market and more effectively offer its products and services to a broader range of end users.”

In return, Master Agents have full access to NaviSite’s “Army of Experts” to ensure they have the necessary knowledge and tools to successfully sell NaviSite’s cloud computing, enterprise hosting, and application management solutions. It’s a symbiotic relationship that benefits everyone.
