Telarus (News - Alert) partners now have access to ViaWest’s data center, managed services and cloud solutions so they can be marketed to business customers.
Telarus is a distributor of business data, voice and cloud services, and ViaWest is a colocation, managed services and cloud provider.
“ViaWest is pleased to enter into this partnership with Telarus, a respected master agent,” Sean McCaffery, vice president of channel sales at ViaWest, said in a statement. “This partnership extends our market scope and enables Telarus agents to meet the increasing market demand from businesses that are looking for reliable solutions to protect their IT infrastructure and scale into managed services and cloud solutions to address their growing data requirements.”
ViaWest has 27 data centers located in the western United States; a network, systems and uptime that run 100 percent of the time; a cloud solution featuring technology from VMware and Cisco (News - Alert) for public, private and hybrid cloud solutions; and compliance reports/accreditations.
Meanwhile, Telarus is a value-added distributor that has contracts with commercial telecom carriers. Its technology benefits solution providers, value added resellers and managed service providers who sell voice and data wide area network solutions. Recently, Telarus announced it was named a Platinum Partner by ACC Business, a division of AT&T (News - Alert), for 2013. Platinum Cup Award winners include the top 1 percent of all sales agents in the ACC Business channel program. This is the tenth consecutive year that Telarus got the honor. In addition, the company also was named 2013 Top Partner by Nitel. 2013 is the seventh straight year Telarus received this honor.
“We are very excited to have ViaWest as one of our anchor data center suppliers as we roll out the Telarus Data Center Tool,” Lanny Gray, vice president of Business Development at Telarus, said. “This is a tool that is only available to Telarus partners, and because of this our partners can now access very detailed information about the best of breed data centers, like ViaWest, 24/7.”
Telarus selected ViaWest because of its many strengths.
“We chose ViaWest as one of our anchor data center suppliers because of their stellar reputation, their state of the art facilities, their enthusiasm about the channel and above all, the integrity and professionalism they display at every level of their organization,” Gray added.
