Telarus (News - Alert), a successful distributor of voice, data, and cloud services focused on creating value for its partners, continues its upward trajectory with the naming of a new chief financial officer. The Sandy, Utah, company announced it has hired Zane Christensen to serve as chief financial officer. Christensen’s hiring comes in the wake of the company also naming David Bashford as COO and general counsel late last year.
Christensen comes to Telarus with more than 20 years’ experience in software, technology, manufacturing, financial services, and other industries.
"I'm thrilled that Zane has joined Telarus as our CFO," said Telarus President Adam Edwards, in a statement. “Zane has the experience we wanted in a CFO, but more important to me is his integrity and culture. Our partners should know there's one more person at Telarus working hard to make them successful."
Telarus has been rated the top master agent by the Telecom Association (News - Alert) for several years running because it focuses on its partner's success. The company offers business development coaching to help customers grow, and offers complex sales support to help ensure those big deals get the attention they deserve. All of this adds up to Telarus becoming the fastest-growing distributor in the country.
Christensen comes well prepared for his new role. Prior to coming aboard, he spent more than 13 years at First Data Corp. (News - Alert), first as senior director of finance and then vice president of finance. He also had an eight-year stint at Arthur Anderson. As CFO, Christensen will oversee partner compensation, supplier compensation, employee compensation, budgeting and forecasting. Thousands of IT VARs, MSPs, Integrators, and Telecom Professionals use Telarus to easily source data, voice, and cloud services.
“We are excited to have Zane on board to work with David, Adam, and the rest of the Telarus executive team," said Telarus co-founcer Patrick Oborn. “Expect new and unique improvements to our program guided by the hands of our new leadership team."
