Accel Networks (News - Alert), a provider of managed fixed cellular broadband services for businesses, will be expanding its current channel partner program that includes wholesalers, resellers, aggregators and master agents.


The new partner program is extended to application providers, VARs and consultants in industries and applications where fixed wireless is the only logical choice for broadband network connectivity. The program will initially target industries including oil/gas, healthcare and financial services, a press release revealed.

Accel Networks has expanded the channel beyond wholesalers and master agents due to the fact that the company has realized that many application providers, VARs and consultants are helping business organizations move to cloud computing, which requires a cost-effective and reliable means for customers to communicate to those applications.

To deliver these services, providers may require a secure and separate means of communications from primary wired services for regulatory purposes or wireless services, which may not be practical.

By joining the channel program, partners get training, sales and marketing support, customized management tools and limited exclusivity in these markets. In return, partners bring their expertise, market reach and volume commitments to Accel.

Through its current partner program, Accel provides wholesale services to some of the largest aggregators in the country. Master Agents and Sub Agents can dramatically enhance their portfolio with fixed wireless programs, as Accel's program offers the first residual compensation program with the benefit of an evergreen contract and no monthly commitments, the company said.
