TBI has recently been named as a Comcast (News - Alert) Business Class Solutions Provider. In essence, this means that the master agent will now offer business class Internet, voice, PRI Trunks, TV and packages which include Internet security, Web hosting and Cloud Services from Microsoft (News - Alert).
At this time, Comcast is currently ranked the largest cable operator, reporting over $35 billion in revenue.
TMCnet recently reported that Township High School District 214, a high school district in Illinois, has begun to utilize ComcastMetro Ethernet Services to deliver cloud computing, virtualization and Web-based educational tools.
Comcast's Metro Ethernet enables faculty, students and staff to connect to IlliniCloud 24/7, allowing access to the storage of important data from wherever users are located. "District 214 is a prime example of how schools can use Comcast's Metro Ethernet to take advantage of cloud, virtualization and multimedia programs to improve the educational experience, improve efficiency and manage costs," Bill Stemper, president of Comcast Business Services commented in a statement.
In addition, in the beginning of the month, Comast and Verizon formed a partnership on a new programming initiative that would be made available through Comcast’s Xfinity and Verizon’s FiOS (News - Alert) service. Comcast will deliver on demand programming from its Xfinity service, as well as offer Microsoft customers a new way experience thousands of on demand programs through the Kinect platform.
