Channel Partners Online has just broken the news that master agent Avant Communications Inc. has entered into a partnership with NaviSite (News - Alert) to assist agents with providing managed hosting services to customers.
Headquartered in Chicago, Avant is an IT consulting firm and master agent that provides WAN design, custom fiber design, high speed transport, cloud computing, colocation, managed hosting, international services, global IP access, content delivery methods (CDN), traditional voice, VoIP, contract negotiations, accurate billing and continual customer support. Through the strategic move to collaborate with NaviSite, the company will now be able to enhance its offerings due to the fact that NaviSite focuses heavily upon managed hosting, applications, messaging and cloud services tailored for enterprise customers.
“Our goal is to help companies navigate this complex marketplace, and enable them to make informed decisions about how to prescribe the right IT solutions, while allowing them to stay focused on their core businesses," said Ian Kieninger, CEO of Avant Communications in a statement.
NaviSite also revealed in the article that its current business model will benefit Avant master agents’ clients by significantly cutting capital and operational expenses.
“We are witnessing an incredible shift in the IT delivery model where the need for secure, robust, and on-demand IT services is fast becoming a minimum expectation," said Craig Sandman, senior director of strategic alliance and channels for NaviSite. “We are excited to have Avant Communications join our partner program."
In other master agent news, TMCnet recently reported that Telecom Brokerage Inc. (TBI) launched a brand new product for master agents—a flat-fee, SaaS (News - Alert)-based TEM platform that can be utilized by both partners and their customers.
A key element to this new product is the fact that partners will now have access to view their customers’ many telecom expenses.“You, the agent, have all of the contract dates; you know what’s coming up. You become their telecom consultant," said Geoff Yearack, director of TBI’s wireless division in a statement.
