A few days ago, TMCnet reported that Telecom Brokerage (News - Alert) Inc. (TBI) launched a brand new product for master agents—a flat-fee, SaaS (News - Alert)-based TEM platform that can be utilized by both partners and their customers.

A recent Channel Partners Online article profiled the software named partneriQ, which covers wireline and wireless services, and can be used by virtually any carrier. Master agents can easily license partneriQ and be charged a onetime purchase price, no matter the number of users. In addition, users aren’t required to spend any capital on additional upgrade fees. After receiving the license, partners can then charge end-users for access to partneriQ, or select to let them use it for free as a value-added service.

A key element to this new product is the fact that partners will now have access to view their customers’ many telecom expenses.“You, the agent, have all of the contract dates; you know what’s coming up. You become their telecom consultant," said Geoff Yearack, director of TBI’s wireless division in a statement.

However, partneriQ has only just kicked off the functionality it allows for, as the product will continue to evolve in the near future. “We have a roadmap," Yearack added, and at some point the software suite will include partner management, commission tracking and a full CRM system.

“I kind of call it CRM-meets-TEM," Yearack stated. “Every tool you’ve ever heard of for analyzing, catching errors, and doing procurement and ticketing, will be in this system." End-users even will be able to create their own service tickets on the CEO’s iPhone (News - Alert), for example, or procure a new T1.

TBI developed partneriQ with assistance from a major TEM platform company, after selecting this company from over 20 competitors. “Our plan was to build a product for the partners, not the customers," Yearack revealed. “It’s customer-facing and does what the customer needs, but it’s built so partners could have a full view of their customers’ telecom expense. And then they have the ability to manage it for their customers at a price that’s absolutely affordable."

Dan Vidal, owner of consultancy firm Telecom Advisors that works with the master agent stated that partneriQ features the resources and flexibility that agents need. “The ‘stickiness’ potential we will have with our clients with an offering like this … makes this the perfect strategy for gaining maximum wallet share from our clients’ telecom spend and also streamlining it for consistency," he added in a statement.

Furthermore, as TBI has just unveiled partneriQ to agents, it already boasts 18 partners who have already licensed the platform. It is important to note here that users are not required to be TBI agents to license partneriQ.

“Our whole vision was not to make this a profit center for TBI," Yearack concluded, “Our goal was to give partners tools to get deeper and wider into the customer base, and have a better product offering than any competitor."
