PAETEC (News - Alert), a preferred vendor of TBI a master agent, has guaranteed that along with the launch of its new mobility strategy, master agents will be included in the strategy from the very beginning.

According to a recent article, partners who receive certification from PAETEC will receive a $1,000 bonus when their first order for Visual Messaging is placed and there will be 150-percent SPIFF on the monthly commissions for selling PAETEC’s messaging services. These benefits will continue until the year comes to a close, but may be extended for a longer period of time.

“Now we have a platform and resources to really start developing mobility applications," said John Chapman, PAETEC’s chief marketing officer and head of the Iperia division. “This is the beginning of offering our partners more solutions around [mobility]. … We know that’s where the marketplace is going."

Last February, PAETEC first dove head first into the mobility industry with its acquisition of Iperia, the provider of the Visual Messaging platform. Visual Messaging enables voicemail from multiple devices to be made available on a single platform—a phone or tablet, and even has the ability to translate voice messages into text.

Visual Messaging is only the tip of the iceberg for PAETEC’s plans for mobility in the near future, as the company continuously alters its business model with cloud computing, VAR acquisitions and data center hosting, the article stated. Some products in the beginning phases from the company include instant mobile conferencing, presence and unified communications.

Visual Messaging is fully interoperable with multiple systems including BlackBerry, Android and Apple (News - Alert) iOS and can purchased as either a premise-or cloud-based service. Customers that will be a perfect fit for this system include enterprises with 1,000 or more devices, Chapman stated. Law firms and healthcare facilities would benefit highly from this solution due to the fact that a majority of their employees are on-the-go usually with more than one device.

In order for agents to fully visualize the potential advantages that Visual Messaging can offer customers, agents should consider taking this certification course. “It probably won’t take you more than one to three hours because it’s pretty straightforward," Chapman commented. In addition, Channel managers will be available to answer any questions or concerns agents may have.

“People are trying to find a way to differentiate voice, whether it’s through hosted IP telephony or some of the other services," said Chris Muller (News - Alert), PAETEC’s communications director.
