Communicado Streamlining Convergence Management

While Ethernet and IP networks aren’t designed to support real-time traffic, neither are their management systems. Instead these platforms were developed and optimized for “bursty, best-efforts delivery-oriented” computing applications, according to Managed service provider Communicado (News - Alert).
 
In order to create a new way of managing these complex and highly interdependent networks, Communicado developed its Streamline applications and services to expand quality and service level management capabilities for converging IP Telephony and Unified Communications (News - Alert) environments.
 
Over the past decade, implementations have been improved to accommodate the demands of real-time traffic. With the introduction and refinement of QoS features and the broad availability of SNMP-based management approaches, the proprietary on-site practices of legacy PBX (News - Alert) management approaches have given way to new, more flexible and more powerful models and capabilities.
 
The Communicado Streamline Service Management portal is a hosted service providing premier converged-communications management, with none of the risks or IT burden of ongoing support and maintenance. The delivery model is particularly attractive to VARs and Managed Service Providers seeking to cost-effectively expand their offerings to encompass the broader convergence management and unified communications services their client’s demand, without making expensive NOC (News - Alert) investments and incurring staff overhead increases.

“Streamline was designed from the ground up to address these new environments and provide everything needed on a single platform to provide the best quality of service possible,” said Steve Rizzone, CEO of Communicado.
 
Streamline is designed to deliver both the user experience and the application's performance in a tightly coupled manner. Changes in one area of the network affect the user experience in another and in business communications, the quality of the voice services are considered to have great impact on the business success.
