Connotate, which helps companies collect data and content from the Web, has been named to KMWorld's Hall of Fame for 2011. According to Connotate, the Hall of Fame comprises 15 information management companies selected from the pool of recipients of KMWorld's "Trend-Setting Products" award for 2010.
The company is known for its flagship Web data collection and monitoring platform and now it has made to KMWorld's list of "100 Companies that Matter in Knowledge Management" for the seventh consecutive year.
Hall of Fame companies for 2011 were chosen after a rigorous selection process, said Andy Moore, publisher of KMWorld.
"This year, we decided that a new perspective was called for. We felt that companies in the knowledge management arena -- a very large 'arena' indeed -- developing new and game-changing solutions should also be recognized and honored,” said Andy Moore, publisher of KMWorld. “ We examined our annual 'Trend-Setting Products' winners and chose 15 that we feel represent the best, and most frequent, additions to the forward momentum of technology innovations in our industry."
"We're honored to be among the select group of companies added to KMWorld's Hall of Fame this year," said Tom Meyer, CEO of Connotate. "The Connotate solution is used by some of the world's largest enterprises to monitor and collect all kinds of Web data -- in dozens of languages -- that contribute to accurate decision-making. Like KMWorld, our customers recognize the critical value of our technology's flexibility, power and unprecedented reliability -- advantages that help them keep their finger on the pulse of the information economy."
