The Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), a U.S. national non-profit organization, has endorsed knowledge management systems and collaboration software provider MMIS as a certified member.
WBENC aims to advance the success of certified women's businesses and government entities.
MMIS, which provides knowledge management systems and collaboration software, was awarded the certification on February 8th, 2011. This honor is given to women-owned businesses demonstrating excellence in their fields.
MMIS is led by Michaeline Daboul who is serving the organization as its president and CEO. A veteran of the pharmaceutical industry, Daboul has led the development of new technologies and marketing initiatives in Fortune 500 pharmaceutical companies since 1999.
The organization has offices in Portsmouth, NH and New York City and develops a range of enterprise-class collaboration software, knowledge management systems and compliance solutions, primarily for the life science industry.
“Access, connections and opportunities are what the WBENC is all about and we are thrilled to be accepted into this organization,” said Michaeline Daboul, MMIS' president and CEO. “Networking and making connections with corporate sponsors through the WBENC will enable MMIS to increase our visibility as we launch our new secure collaboration platform Network Fortress and our Aggregate Spend software MediSpend into the market.”
MMIS recently launched a physician payments disclosure and aggregate spend reporting system called MediSpend.
This system allows pharmaceutical, medical device and biotechnology companies to comply with new laws mandated by the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), as well as by similar laws in five states and the District of Columbia.
