IVR solutions provider Angel.com today announced three new integration partnerships that the company hopes will broaden its customer base, as well as to better meet the needs of existing customers.

First, the company is partnering with VoiceVault, which offers voice-based biometric identity verification solutions. Voice recognition technology is used to verify the identity of callers for security and compliance purposes. It is an alternative to typing in PINs and passwords using the telephone keypad or computer keyboard. Unlike speech recognition, which is used for recognizing what is being said, voice recognition includes the additional capability of recognizing who is speaking, based on an individual’s “voice print,” the unique set of harmonics that makes up one’s voice. VoiceVault claims its solution can be employed across a diverse range of business applications, including procurement, payment authorization and corporate security.

Second, Angel.com is partnering with Novauris, which offers a name and address capture solution. Novauris’ speech recognition technology is specifically designed to interpret and capture addresses. It lets callers simply say the address in a “single, continuously spoken, utterance,” as opposed to having to say each part (street address, town or city, state, and zip code) separately. The company’s NovaSearch technology can also be used for other “auto-form-filling” purposes. It can run locally on mobile devices such as smartphones or PNDs, or it can run on a server, handling many voice search requests simultaneously.

Third, Angel.com is partnering with Plug'n Pay, which offers voice-based e-commerce solutions designed to simplify payment processing. Plug'n Pay claims its seamless "plug-in" technology allows merchants to accept and manage both credit card and electronic check payments in a secure environment. The company says its products and services enable merchants to maximize online and point-of-sale profits, reduce risk of fraud and build customer loyalty. Its digital fulfillment systems allow merchants to offer digital goods for real-time fulfillment and to manage and maintain online membership and recurring billing services.

IVR solutions provider Angel.com – which recently won a 2009 Speech Technology Excellence Award from Customer Interaction Solutions, a TMC (News - Alert) publication – announced in July that its on-demand interactive voice response system has been selected by the City of New York to automate the registration process for the Notify NYC program, a citizen warning system that was created to enhance New York City's public communication channels by distributing critical text and voice messages directly to residents’ computers, mobile devices and cell phones. Through the Notify NYC system, which is managed by the New York City Office of Emergency Management, residents can get emergency alerts about natural disasters, acts of terrorism, AMBER alerts, public health notifications, public school closings/delays, and updates about parking rules suspensions. The system sends alerts via the Web, e-mail and SMS text messages.
