SmartAction, a provider of artificial intelligence voice self-service, recently appointed industry expert Steve Prodger as its new senior vice president of sales.

Steve has more than 14 years of sales management experience in enterprise SaaS (News - Alert) technology. His vast knowledge will help him lead SmartAction’s growing sales team in an efficient manner.

He also has a strong track record of developing and managing world-class, enterprise sales and business development organizations in high-growth environments.

Prodger’s appointment as senior vice president of sales will support SmartAction’s continued growth and expansion into new industry verticals. “Steve’s wealth of contact center knowledge and his extensive experience in enterprise technology sales have already made him a key addition to the SmartAction family,” said Tom Lewis, CEO of SmartAction, in a press statement.

Officials at SmartAction believe that Prodger has the potential to fulfill this role and his vast experience will help him play a crucial role in sharing the company’s next-generation technology with all those other firms that don’t even know it exists.

Before joining SmartAction, Steve held various high profile sales leadership positions within high-tech and customer experience organizations including Empathica, Mindshare Technologies and Dell (News - Alert) Computers.

Academically, Prodger holds a B.A. in Economics with a focus on strategy and change management from Wilfrid Laurier University.
