City National Bank Selects Easy Solutions

City National Bank, the fifth-largest Florida-based financial institution with more than $4.9 billion in assets, has selected Easy Solutions to protect its clients throughout every stage of the fraud lifecycle.

As part of the pact, City National Bank will deploy the Total Fraud Protection suite of products from Easy Solutions to further solidify its anti-fraud strategy.

Officials with Easy Solutions said that City National Bank is implementing the comprehensive Total Fraud Protection platform from Easy Solutions, including DetectTA.

DetectTA is a fraud prevention solution that qualifies a transaction’s risk in real time based on a heuristic profile of the user’s behavior that the product is learning over time. DetectTA ensures that user accounts are protected, because no matter how it’s being done or what malware is being used, the differences from normal user activity can still be detected across all banking channels.


“The fraud landscape is evolving at such a rapid rate that it is absolutely critical to take a proactive stance and embrace a multi-layer approach to security,” said Lloyd DeVaux, chief operating officer for City National Bank, in a statement.

DeVaux said that the bank chose Easy Solutions because they have proven to be one of the industry’s most innovative providers of integrated fraud prevention solutions.

He said that Easy Solutions automates the time-sensitive and manual risk management processes encountered by every security team, and will better enable the bank to respond faster and more efficiently to every type of threat.

“Like the many other banks and financial institutions that we work with, City National Bank recognizes the need to inject intelligence and automation into the fraud detection process,” said Ricardo Villadiego, CEO of Easy Solutions.

Villadiego said that Easy Solutions is the only platform on the market that integrates phishing and malware detection, device authentication, and transaction risk scoring into a single, unified platform.

“We look forward to working with City National Bank, helping them improve the customer experience and create competitive new service offerings while reducing their risk of fraud,” said Villadiego.

Back in February, Easy Solutions had announced availability of DetectTA 2.0, the company's transaction anomaly detection offering that provides critical intelligence across its Total Fraud Protection platform.
