Authentidate (News - Alert) Holding Corp., a provider of Web-based software applications and telehealth products and services for healthcare organizations, recently announced that the company’s contract with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has been extended. As a result, Authentidate will continue to provide its Home Telehealth Devices and Services to the VA to remotely monitor patients and enhance patient care for veterans.

Authentidate’s VA contract includes Electronic House Call (EHC), the newest vital signs monitoring device in the VA program, and the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) solution for mobile patients to enter vital signs and responses from any phone by voice response or key-pad entry. Both solutions provide immediate access to the patients’ vital signs results and qualitative session-question responses on the highly intuitive Authentidate Web application. The Authentidate Web application also integrates completely with the VA’s Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS).

"The VA is a very important customer for Authentidate and we are proud to continue to support them in providing outstanding health care to our Veterans,” said Ben Benjamin, CEO at Authentidate. “The CCHT program has continued to grow each year and we believe that we are well positioned to significantly increase the number of Veterans that we serve during the coming year. We strive to provide the finest services to this important customer and we look forward to continuing to serve their needs with our innovative telehealth solutions."

In related news, Canton-Potsdam Hospital (CPH) of Potsdam, NY, selected Authentidate's InscrybeMD Telehealth solution to support its remote patient monitoring needs for its growing community care network. CPH intends to enroll select patients on Authentidate's innovative telehealth platform to improve patient outcomes and reduce hospital readmissions. InscrybeMD Telehealth solution delivers remote patient monitoring, allowing patients to continue with their daily routines while providing for frequent updates of patient data to healthcare providers and reducing the need for face-to-face visits.
