Gartner Positions Comverse as a Leader in the Magic Quadrant

Gartner Positions Comverse as a Leader in the Magic Quadrant

Gartner Research has placed Comverse (News - Alert) in its 2013 Magic Quadrant for Integrated Revenue and Customer Management (IRCM) for CSPs, the culmination of rigorous analysis and structured methodologies.

According to Gartner (News - Alert), the reason behind selecting Comverse to the coveted list is the performance of the company in Gartner's criteria for IRCM leadership. Comverse delivers the goods as the company has the necessary expertise, an aggressive market strategy, and the commitment to introduce new products as per market needs.

Getting a little more technical, Gartner also cites other factors such as product functionality, architecture and performance that tilted the scale in favor of Comverse. During its evaluation of the company, Gartner also learned that Comverse generally meets the expectations of customers while delivering the products.

Comverse ONE BSS solution is supported with its deep BSS and network expertise. It also combines various aspects of this expertise such as customer management (including self-service), telco-specific CRM (including campaign management and sales force automation), real-time rating/charging, and billing around a single data model.

“We believe positioning in the Leaders Quadrant underscores Comverse's ability to deliver on what service providers and end users require today and in the future," said Gani Nayak, SVP, Systems & Solutions at Comverse. “In our opinion, Gartner's IRCM Magic Quadrant is a respected industry benchmark providing an objective perspective on vendors' commitment to innovate in support of communication service providers' (CSPs) rapidly changing business requirements and their ability to turn vision into actions.”

Comverse has been around with its BSS Solution for a while now. In 2010, the company was selected by Cycle30, a newly formed subsidiary of integrated telecommunications provider GCI (News - Alert), to support a fully hosted billing platform. This platform is used by mid-tier telecom, cable and utility operators in North America.
