Speech recognition and IVR services provider Nuance (News - Alert) Communications has announced the availability of its Dragon Dictation and Dragon Search applications for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad in the Israel App Store for free.
The iOS-6 compatible software now also supports Hebrew language. With its availability in Israel, the app is now available in 41 countries around the world. The software allows iOS customers to send text messages and e-mails, update Twitter and Facebook (News - Alert), search for Web content and more, all with their voice.
“We’ve seen very strong demand for voice-enabled interactions across the Middle East, and we’re thrilled to now support the Hebrew language, while bringing Dragon Dictation and Dragon Search to Israel,” said Michael Thompson (News - Alert), executive vice president and general manager, Nuance Mobile, in a statement.
“Voice simplifies and humanizes what are typically complex interactions, and the power of Dragon makes it faster and easier than ever to stay connected and find information and content,” Thompson added.
Dragon Dictation features a pop-up toolbar with app icons that enable users to easily access e-mail, SMS, Facebook or Twitter status bars, or the clipboard. Users can simply speak and search query to quickly and easily find information and knowledge on the mobile Web.
Another feature of the Dragon Search is the Dragon Search Carousel, which delivers faster, smarter search results within seconds across multiple channels all at once including Google (News - Alert), Yahoo!, Twitter, iTunes, Wikipedia and YouTube.
Just recently the IVR service provider announced that its Dragon Dictation and Dragon Search applications for iPhone (News - Alert), iPod touch and iPad are now available for free in the Thailand and Croatia App stores.
Back in September Nuance announced the availability of Dragon Dictation and Dragon Search applications for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad in the Ukraine App Store to support the Ukrainian language, expanding the Dragon Apps’ global presence.
